This is Patrick Neumiller here, (@patrickneumiller) and I am going to share a bit about why I created IronFit!
Here's a little bit about me,
I learned the definition of hard work when I was at a very young age. Growing up on the farm, I had to help feed cows and harvest the annual crop, all while staying on top of my academics and athletics.
When I was in school, I was always one of the smallest kids, which made participating in sports quite difficult. Always being underestimated triggered my desire to start working out and lifting weights in hopes to get a chance at playing on the varsity level.
Since I didn’t have access to a gym, I started working out in my mom’s basement. I fell in love with lifting weights, so I started purchasing used equipment from local auction sales or wherever I could find them, transforming my mother’s basement into my own personal gym. I hung posters on the walls for motivation, and I started reading Muscle & Fitness magazines cover to cover. I never enjoyed reading books in school, but when it came to fitness magazines, I could read every single word and never missed an issue. I studied all things fitness such as different ways to workout, nutrition, and all the supplements the pros were taking.
My passion and knowledge for fitness began to grow, which made me to realize I could be just like the big guys in the magazines. With time, discipline, and hard work, my body began to grow from the “small kid” to one of the biggest guys on varsity. After high school, I got serious about lifting weights, dialing in on my nutrition and supplementation. I began studying macros, which are carbohydrates, proteins, and fats, and the best supplements to help me reach my full potential.
I’ve always dreamed of having my own gym since I first fell in love with working out. When I was 22 years old, my brother committed suicide at the age of 19, which made me realize at any moment, life could change in the blink of an eye. I saw the way it affected my family, but I wanted some positivity to come from it. I used this experience as motivation to go after my goals. Without thinking twice, I found a vacant piece of land for sale, bought it, and began building my dream gym from the ground up. I worked seven days a week from sunup to sundown in order to keep my mind busy from grieving about my brother. Most people thought what I was doing was a terrible idea because I was young and didn’t have the finances to take on such a huge risk. I didn’t let the thoughts and opinions of others get to me, and I pushed all doubts aside. Within six months, I completed the constructing process and opened my dream gym to the public.
After accomplishing one of my biggest dreams, I realized that anything is possible if you set your mind to it. The only downside to building my gym was the constant stress on my mind and body had caused me to lose a substantial amount of weight. Weeks after my gym was open to the public, I saw the positive effect it had on young people in the community which made my realized how much I enjoyed helping others. I set a goal for myself to get to the position where I could help hundreds of thousands of people on a daily basis.
A common question I got from many people at my gym was what supplements they should be taking, which got me to thinking about the supplementation business. I decided to formulate my own products that I truly stand behind to give those who are into fitness the quality they deserve. Since I had already named my gym Iron Fit, I legally trademarked the name and created the business Iron Fit Industries as a parent company to both Iron Fit Gym and Iron Fit Supps. Throughout the process of creating my own brand, I had many setbacks and failed attempts but continued to push forward every single day.
My brand Iron Fit is more than just another gym or supplement company. It’s my story, and I hope all of you can relate to it in some way and use this as motivation to go after your own goals and dreams. Because no matter how much the odds are stacked against you, and no matter how many people tell you that you can’t do something, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. Fitness and body building are the one thing that I couldn’t live without, and I’m beyond blessed to be able to share it with all of you! With all of the experience and knowledge I have obtained throughout the years, I truly believe I have formulated some of the best products in the industry.
Thank you so much for being a part of my family! Now lets grow together!
